The middle-floor lounge has an ethanol fireplace. The middle floor enjoys easy access to the outdoor hot tub.

This room consists of a double bed (does not split into two singles). There is also an ensuite with shower.

Property Location

A dream location for mixed-ability groups. Experienced skiers can hop straight on the Perrieres Express lift and be skiing in the Les Gets Bowl 10 minute after breakfast. For less confident skiers and beginners, the bus stop is across the road. 5 minutes and you'll be at the more central Chavannes lift and/or the ski school.

Since 2019, there has been a blue slope running all the way down the Perrieres lift, making it even easier for less confident skiers to get back to the chalet each evening.

What's Nearby?

Chalet La Rocade is a 5 minute walk from the Perrières chairlift and just 100m from the Hotel le Chinfrey Bar. For staff nights off, La Fruitière des Perrières Restaurant is across the road from the chalet.

Leaving each morning

Collect your skis from the storage room and take the short walk across the road to the Perrieres lift. This high-speed chair lift will deliver you straight to the famous Les Gets "bowl" in just a few minutes. For the less experienced, a bus ride will get you to the ski school and the Chavannes cable car—in 5 minutes. This delivers you straight to the beginner slopes. For the outward journey, bus routes Ligne A and C are recommended.

Returning each afternoon

If you're confident skiing blue slopes, then take the Vorosse and then Les Trembles which will bring you all the way to the bottom of the Perrieres ski lift. For the less experienced, or for those who prefer to stop in the village centre for aprés ski, the resort shuttle bus will get you home in 5 minutes. The bus route is Ligne B.

Mountain chalet in Les Gets

Because we love Les Gets

We are now proud to say that we're the first Chalet Company certified with the EU Ecolabel accreditation in the French Alps!

Read our story...

People often ask us about...

  • Arrival / Departure Times

On your arrival day, we will aim to have your chalet ready by 4pm and you should feel welcome to arrive at Chalet La Rocade from that time onwards. On your departure day, the check-out time is 10am and the chalet must be vacated by that time. If you arrive in Les Gets before 4pm or wish to leave after 10am, we will be happy to provide space to store baggage however there will be no access to the chalet itself.

Optimal time to arrive: Between 4pm and 6pm.

Arriving during these times will ensure that your accommodation is ready and waiting for you as soon as you're in resort — especially handy if you have children to look after. While getting into Les Gets in the morning and hitting the slopes straight away sounds great in theory, in practice the logistics can get a bit overwhelming. While we're happy to store your luggage, we can't always offer you a place to get 'ski-ready'. If your flight times are such that you can't avoid an early arrival, dropping your luggage with us and head out to soak up the atmosphere and get a bite to eat would be the more advisable option.

Please also note that if you arrive after 9pm, your evening meal will be provided (with heating up instructions) - but without the presence of your Chalet Host to serve you.

Optimal time to depart: Between 9am and 10am.

Again, while the thought of getting one last ski session in on your departure day sounds good, it can become a little tricky to pull off. Firstly, if the weather plays up, it will become a challenge to find alternative entertainment — especially with little ones. Secondly, as it's after checkout time, we can't offer anywhere for you to get changed back into your comfy clothes for your flight home.

If you've booked a late flight back, and if the weather isn't nice or you just don't want to ski, we highly recommend spending the day in Geneva. Why not take a stroll along the lakefront, you'll be amazed!

  • Can I book a short break?

Chalet La Rocade does not currently offer short break holidays. For information about our ski weekends and which chalets offer them, please visit our short breaks page.

  • Childcare

There are some great childcare options in Les Gets, with all ages catered for. Childcare company policies usually dictate that we can not arrange the booking on your behalf but we are always happy to offer information and advice. You can also find out more by visiting our Les Gets childcare page. The cost of childcare is not included in your holiday package.

  • Ski Lessons

Let us arrange your ski lessons for you. As part of our concierge service, it won't cost a penny more than if you book direct - the only difference is that we do all the legwork for you. To find out more, visit our Les Gets ski and snowboarding lessons page. The cost of ski lessons is not included in your holiday package.

  • Ski Hire

As part of our concierge service, we will be happy to organise your ski hire for you. The cost of ski hire is not included in your holiday package, but hiring your equipment through us won't cost you a penny more than going direct. So put your feet up and let us take care of everything for you.

For guests staying in Chalet La Rocade, we usually recommend a local ski hire shop called Pure Experience. They're a great local company with well-maintained equipment and very knowledgeable staff.

New this season! Pure Experience will be offering a drop-off and pick-up service to our guests staying in Chalet La Rocade. As the shop is located near-by the chalet, you can have all the benefit of being fitted in the shop, without the hassle of carrying your skis home!

Alternatively, our guests staying in Chalet La Rocade can choose to hire from Delavay Sports ski rental shop. They're situated right by the main Chavannes ski lift, near the ski school.

All you need to do is let us know what you need. From there, we will take care of everything and make sure that your equipment is ready for you when you arrive in Les Gets. If this is your first ski trip, just let us know and we can guide you through the whole process. You can also find out more and view prices on our ski hire page.

  • Airport Transfers

Once you have booked your flights, just let us know the details and we can arrange your airport transfers for you. The cost of the transfers is not included in your holiday package, but we will be very happy to make all the arrangements for you as part of our concierge service. You won't pay a penny more than if you go direct, so leave the legwork to us!

Wonderful chalet, well located for access to chair lift and with good transport links to main lift area. Chalet was very modern. The hot tub was welcomed sight after a long day on the slopes. Would recommend this chalet highly.

Claudio M

This was a first stay for all of us in a ski chalet. previously we have always stayed in hotels. Nine of us stayed at the Chalet Rocade for half term week and it was a great week. The chalet and location was ideal for us apart from the fact we had one new skier amongst us.

Tina

There is a chairlift just 200 yards away, or a bus stop right outside the door. The food is exceptional and if you happen to need anything, Jana and Raph are only a phone call away. I've stayed here before, and I'm returning again with my family next month.

Tim P

We travelled as a group of six with two secondary aged kids and four adults on the first week of the 2016/17 season and we had a really great stay. Jana was totally prepared and it was great to have skis delivered to us. We needed to travel to really get the snow so the whole team went out of their way to help us with that and make sure the holiday was a success. Food was also outstanding, so was the accommodation and the hot tub was a great treat - we will be coming back for sure, thanks to all!

Claire Ward

Lovely chalet, excellent food - dare I say it, too much good food!? We had a tough time keeping up with all the eating! With two beginner skiers the location suited our family perfectly, and the free shuttle bus stopped right across the road from the chalet. Jana kindly organised EVERYTHING to do with our trip, including ski passes, equipment rental, airport transfers...it was so nice not having to struggle. The equipment was even delivered to our door! I would recommend this chalet holiday package 100%.

Anon. on TripAdvisor

Nice chalet in a good location. Rooms and beds were comfy, water was hot and plentiful and hot tub very nice. Food was delicious. We were 2 families staying on the top floor and had a great holiday.

Anon. on TripAdvisor

We recently travelled to Les Gets having visited other resorts in France in previous skiing holidays. This Chalet and the whole experience proved to be the best so far! Great location, great Chalet with modern and clean facilities. Handy for the free bus, integral boot room, nice food....I could go on and on.

Anon. on TripAdvisor

There is a bus stop right outside the door or the nearest chair lift is just a few hundred yards, then there is a fantastic ski resort to suit skiers/boarders of all abilities. On return the the chalet each day, the large hot tub is a great place to relax and unwind. I wouldn't hesitate to return here, see you next year!

Tim P

The "semi" catered format was new to me. Food from "Chalet Kitchen" (a sister company to the chalet operator) was of excellent quality and ample quantity. As we had taken all three floors.

Anon. on TripAdvisor

The Chalet is well appointed with a high end finish. Good facilities for Winter Sports enthusiasts with a sizeable boot room and plenty of Garage space for empty suitcases. Split over 3 levels, the Chalet allows for separate bookings or if like us, a large group are together, with 3 lounges, space is more than adequate.

Marc P

What an absolutely fabulous chalet with all the amenities you require and more. The chalet is ideally located for the vast selection of ski slopes in the area and everything was organised including the equipment hire being brought to the chalet. Our day of skiing and snowboarding ended with a relax in the hot tub in the snow.

Chris

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Chalet la Rocade. The group was made up of five adults, a child and a teenager and we had a fabulous time. The chalet is beautiful and in a great location for access via bus to the village and also direct access to the Perrieres lift.

Anon. on TripAdvisor

We have just sadly returned from a fantastic new year holiday at Chalet La Rocade. The chalet has been recently modernised and the hot tub was a bonus too. The chalet was situated on the edge of Les Gets with the free ski bus stopping straight outside the chalet.

Michelle

We have just returned from Chalet La Rocade where the whole family, including a teenager, had a fabulous holiday! The chalet is very close to the nearest chairlift, but the bus stop is also directly opposite the chalet, to take you to the more central lifts of Les Chavannes making it easy to get the children to ski school on time!

Megan A

Unfortunately we are having to return home from the best chalet we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a few. Chalet was amazing beautiful bed rooms comfy beds loads of hot water. hot tub a bonus after day on the slopes. We came as family of 6 with my husband, son, daughter in law and 2 grandsons and just had the best time .

3. Balance and Transfers

The balance of your accommodation is due 60 days before your arrival date. This is also the time to secure your aiport transfers to Les Gets. Arranging your transfers is all part of our concierge service.

4. Ski Lessons

Ski and snowboarding lessons are able to be booked anytime from September, we strongly recommend letting us know if this is something you or a member of your group require when booking with us. Our concierge team will be sure to contact you about your options with enough time to secure your space with ESF Ski School.

5. Ski Hire

Three weeks before your arrival to the resort we'll contact you to arrange your ski and snowboard equipment hire for when you are in resort. At this point, we will also double check for any dietary requirements so our chefs are fully prepared.

6. Lift Pass

10 days before your arrival we'll have a good idea of the snow conditions and therefore this is the best time to organise your lift passes to ensure you make the most of your time in Les Gets and the Portes du Soleil.

7. One Week before your Holiday

The week of your arrival we'll send you the information you'll need to meet your transfer driver, or the chalet address if you've chosen to drive to Les Gets.

8. Arrival in Resort

Pop the bubbles! You're on holiday!
