Catered Chalet du Bois, Les Carroz

Chalet du Bois provides fully catered chalet holidays to Les Carroz in the Grand Massif Ski area. Sleeping groups of 8 to 10, this chalet has both a hot tub and a sauna to relax those ski legs in after a day on the slopes. The great views, and warm log burning stove, make this chalet the ideal place to relax and take in your alpine surroundings.

The Ski Area - Les Carroz in the Grand Massif

For those new to is, the Grand massif ski area has one of the best snow records in the Alps. It consists of 265kms of pistes which join up the resorts of Les Carroz, Flaine, Samoens, Morillon and Sixt Fer a Cheval. As the fourth largest ski area in France, the variety and quality of the skiing here is first rate, and it tends to be quieter than the big name famous French ski resorts. If you've not skiing the Grand Massif yet then we'd definitely recommend it for the to do list of and keen skier or snowboarder.

Chalet Layout & Capacity

This ski chalet can sleep up to 10, but parties of 8 are more than welcome with no extra charges. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 bathroom and one extra shower room in the sauna area. There is also a heated boot room to make sure your boots will be dry and toasty warm for you to start each day.

Chalet Location

It's located in a quiet wooded corner of Les Carroz, about 6 mins walk from the village centre. To get to the slopes it's about 100m to the bus stop, from where the take 6-7 mins to reach the ski slopes. The buses run every 20 mins. You can also use this bus to get to the village centre as well.

What's Included in their Ski Holidays

This is a fully catered chalet holiday to Les Carroz . Your day starts with tea & coffee brought to your door. Next is a hearty breakfast including fresh bread and toppings, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, porridge , boiled eggs and a different daily hot option.

When you return from skiing each day you'll find fresh baked cakes, teas and coffee waiting for you.

The evening meal though is their main showpiece, with the menu designed by Luke Turner (developement chef at Fortnum and Masons), you'll enjoy 3 delicous courses and bottomless wine. The staff have one night off where you'll be able to sample the cullinary delights that Les Carroz Ski Resort has to offer.

The chalet has a heated boot room, DVD library, Sky TV, Nintendo WII, WI-FI, classic chalet board games and Ipod docking station, and all local taxes are included.

Dom & his team are more than happy to arrange any extras you may like - to have your lift pass waiting for you when you arrive and to have you ski hire fitted in the comfort of the chalet. They also can provide transfers (at an extra cost).
