Self-Guided Alpine Walking & Hiking

Walking the alpine mountains in summer is a truly breathtaking experience and something we'd recommend everyone does at least once during their stay. A hiker's paradise, the full range of trails provide everything from the terrain to keep the most die-hard hikers occupied all week, to gentle mountain strolls for those just looking to take in the stunning alpine scenery and fresh air.

Stunning panoramas are everywhere. If you are not sure where to start then may we recommend a trip up Mont-Chéry. Atop this mountain is one of the best views you will see: a view of the full Mont-Blanc range with Les Gets down below. There's also a restaurant up there, and bubble lift both up and down, and even a free telescope to study Mt Blanc in detail!

If you want to walk & hike this summer then thanks to the Multi Pass you can benefit from all the lifts in the Portes du Soleil area for just 1 euro / day and that also includes numerous other activities! The Portes du Soleil is name for the the larger linked area that Les Gets is part of along with 13 other resorts ("Greater Les Gets" if you like). Your Multi-Pass gives you access to 25 lifts and no less than 850km of hiking trails throughout this wonderful area.

We can provide transport for hikes that start in alternative locations. Maybe you'd like to Hike the Valley de la Manche on the far side of Morzine, or perhaps we could drop you a day's hike away at the start of a trail that leads back to the chalet.
