About Chalet des Pistes

Chalet des Pistes is a traditional alpine Chalet, ideally located right in the centre of Les Gets village, above the Delavay Sports ski hire shop. Our Guests will be able to use the ski room and boot warmers located in the shop, if they hire their equipment from the shop or even if they bring their own.

The Chavannes lift, found directly across the road, offers you instant access to the world-class skiing that Les Gets is renowned for, making it the ideal chalet for serious skiers. If you have skied before, then the chalet is virtually ski-in/ski-out.

Chalet des Pistes occupies the top floor of the building, and can sleep up to 10 people, in four Ensuite Rooms.

Property Location

A dream location in Les Gets, Chalet des Pistes is located only 50m from the Chavannes area. You'll find the main lifts there, that come down into the centre of the village on the side of the Les Gets Valley. It is also located 50m from the nearest bus stops, that will bring you anywhere in the resort.

There are two major lifts servicing this area, a high speed 6 man chair and a bubble lift. This is your starting point, it's where the ski schools meet and beginners take their first tentative slides down the mountain! There is also Le Grand Cry, an area just for children. This is all themed around trappers and Indians, and has 2 drag lifts.

What's Nearby?

Chalet des Pistes is just 1 minute from Black Bear Bar, or Canadian Bar. For staff nights off, Le Rendez-Vous Restaurant is 15m away from the chalet.

Leaving each morning

If you hire your equipment from the Delavay Sports ski hire shop or bring your own, you'll be able to collect your skis from their storage room - located on the ground floor of the building, and take the short walk across the road to the Chavannes lift.

Returning each afternoon

The run home is a surprisingly good run and is quiet during the middle of the day. Join in for some aprés ski in the resort centre, where you can relax and socialise, or head back to the chalet to be one of the first to enjoy a slice of the afternoon cake.

People often ask us about...

  • Arrival / Departure Times

On your arrival day, we will aim to have your chalet ready by 4pm and you should feel welcome to arrive at Chalet des Pistes from that time onwards. On your departure day, the check-out time is 10am and the chalet must be vacated by that time. If you arrive in Les Gets before 4pm or wish to leave after 10am, we will be happy to provide space to store baggage however there will be no access to the chalet itself.

Optimal time to arrive: Between 4pm and 6pm.

Arriving during these times will ensure that your accommodation is ready and waiting for you as soon as you're in resort — especially handy if you have children to look after. While getting into Les Gets in the morning and hitting the slopes straight away sounds great in theory, in practice the logistics can get a bit overwhelming. While we're happy to store your luggage, we can't always offer you a place to get 'ski-ready'. If your flight times are such that you can't avoid an early arrival, dropping your luggage with us and head out to soak up the atmosphere and get a bite to eat would be the more advisable option.

Please also note that if you arrive after 9pm, your evening meal will be provided (with heating up instructions) - but without the presence of your Chalet Host to serve you.

Optimal time to depart: Between 9am and 10am.

Again, while the thought of getting one last ski session in on your departure day sounds good, it can become a little tricky to pull off. Firstly, if the weather plays up, it will become a challenge to find alternative entertainment — especially with little ones. Secondly, as it's after checkout time, we can't offer anywhere for you to get changed back into your comfy clothes for your flight home.

If you've booked a late flight back, and if the weather isn't nice or you just don't want to ski, we highly recommend spending the day in Geneva. Why not take a stroll along the lakefront, you'll be amazed!

  • Can I book a short break?

Chalet des Pistes does not currently offer short break holidays. For information about our ski weekends and which chalets offer them, please visit our short breaks page.

  • Childcare

There are some great childcare options in Les Gets, with all ages catered for. Childcare company policies usually dictate that we can not arrange the booking on your behalf but we are always happy to offer information and advice. You can also find out more by visiting our Les Gets childcare page. The cost of childcare is not included in your holiday package.

  • Ski Lessons

Let us arrange your ski lessons for you. As part of our concierge service, it won't cost a penny more than if you book direct - the only difference is that we do all the legwork for you. To find out more, visit our Les Gets ski and snowboarding lessons page. The cost of ski lessons is not included in your holiday package.

  • Ski Hire

As part of our concierge service, we will be happy to organise your ski hire for you. The cost of ski hire is not included in your holiday package, but hiring your equipment through us won't cost you a penny more than going direct. So put your feet up and let us take care of everything for you.

For our Guests staying in Chalet des Pistes, we highly recommend hiring ski equipment from Delavay Sports ski rental shop - located on the ground floor of the building, so the location is just as good as the gear. Delavay will store your equipment and boots for you each night, if you hire your equipment from them or bring your own. Great news for the skiers!

All you need to do is let us know what you need. From there, we will take care of everything and make sure that your equipment is ready for you when you arrive in Les Gets. If this is your first ski trip, just let us know and we can guide you through the whole process. You can also find out more and view prices on our ski hire page.

  • Airport Transfers

Once you have booked your flights, just let us know the details and we can arrange your airport transfers for you. The cost of the transfers is not included in your holiday package, but we will be very happy to make all the arrangements for you as part of our concierge service. You won't pay a penny more than if you go direct, so leave the legwork to us!

    Food intolerances and allergies

Our menus can be adapted to suit those with intolerances and allergies to wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, peanuts and sesame. Free Concierge Service

Let us do the legwork. It won't cost you a penny more than booking direct.

We provide a free concierge service for all of our guests. Let us organise your lift passes, ski hire, ski lessons, airport transfers and childcare. It costs no more than booking direct, only we do all the hard work for you. Here are some of the most popular services which we can help you with. If we make the booking on your behalf, you will pay the same price as if you were to go direct. In the case of childcare, the booking must be made by the parents but we are always happy to help with advice and recommendations.

Reviews can be difficult - if you've paid £10k for a week then you expect something special. So the question is, did we get better value for money than expected? Yes. Undoubtedly. Going on a "package" the brochures always say (for example) afternoon tea. You then get some stale biscuits or cake and a glass of milk. Not here. They say "cordon bleu 3 course meal" and you get some chicken gujons and a bit of apple pie. Not here. They then say "chalet hosts who will look after your every need" and you get someone who dreads having to talk to a guest. Not here. The M&T experience was great, the food was top notch and Tash, Georgia, Issy, Harriet & Lydia (not to mention, of course, Belinda) who looked after us was an uplifting experience. The Chalet had all of the things you'd want at this price point, it's close to the centre so it can be a bit noisy if the window shutters are left open. All in all an A+ rating.

Jon Wright

Absolutely fabulous from beginning to end! Our wonderful host Tash was a highlight and really looked after us and made our stay special!

Wilma Farrar

Fantastic apartment, near the lift and at the heart of the centre. Tash (our host) excellent and superb food and wine! A fabulous week.

Darren Dainty

Excellent experience. Very impressed with the green credentials and environmental approach to their service. Best of all was Tash, our chalet host. She was absolutely brilliant and could not do enough for us. Nothing was a problem.

Richard Burgess

Incredible stay at the chalet. A special mention for Tash who was an exceptional hostess and cook!

Thérésa Bernard

Great week in a dream chalet, with Tash, who took great care of us and who cooks very well! Thanks Tash!

Mathilde BERNARD

We had such a lovely week in the chalet - shout out to Tash for being a perfect chef!

Paul Bernard

Great week!! very clean, very nice. Thank you very much to Tash our cook who did a great job always with a smile! She was perfect!

Agatha Bernardo

We had absolutely amazing stay in the Chalet. All the personnel was nice and kind and the service was flowless. Food was delicious and personalized attention was a special treat. Big thanks to Tash for taking such a great care of us, she was wonderful. Belinda was also amazing, being always on the top of all our needs. We will surely come back. Thanks to everyone for making our holidays memorable.

Ljubica Latinovic

It was the second consecutive year that we had looked Chalet des Pistes with M&T. The whole M&T experience does run like clockwork and the effectiveness with which they operate is impressive. Chalet des Pistes was excellently hosted by Daisy and her colleagues and Belinda was an excellent point of contact to make sure that everything progressed smoothly. Daisy and her colleagues made sure that we were excellently looked after with some great food and our thanks to the whole team. Well done team M&T in Les Gets.

John Strawson

Fantastic stay in Chalet des Pistes! We've stayed in another M&T chalet before so knew the high standard of accommodation, food and service and this year didn't disappoint ! Brendan (& sometimes Rachel) were superb hosts; nothing appeared to be too much trouble and they were so friendly & fun! And as for Belinda, what a wonder woman she is! From restaurant bookings to ski route planning and everything in between - she's sprinkled the magic on an already fab holiday! Already planning next years trip!

Tina Gow

Thomas was a great host for our week long stay here. It was lovely coming back to afternoon tea and having our breakfast and dinner sorted for us so we didn't need to worry about a thing. We had a great time with Thomas, he was knowledgeable about the area and what there was for us to do in our evenings and was a great bonus to our already lovely holiday. The apartment is in a brilliant place so we hardly had to walk to the piste at all and was spacious with a great balcony too! Would absolutely recommend! The only shame was a lack of vegan options despite being told in advance about some dietary requirements.

Phoebe

We stayed here for a week in March and we can't recommend enough! Everything about our stay and holiday was PERFECT and we can't wait to come back to experience Les Gets in Summer. The whole team are amazing and so helpful, which made our holiday 100% stress free, we barely had to lift a finger. Belinda and the team booked our transfers, ski passes, ski hire, restaurants, everything. The location of the chalet is probably the best in town, it's right by the lift and all the restaurants/bars/shops. We didn't realise how amazing the view was from the chalet and it was so nice to sit on the balcony and feel the vibe from the town. The food was INCREDIBLE, so delicious and such good value for money. If you're deciding between catered or non-catered, 100% go for catered. Such lovely little extra touches which we didn't expect, like Prosecco one evening and wine which was paired with the cheese. The whole team are amazing - thanks to Tommo for being the best host, Clara who was absolutely lovely covering for Tommo on his day off and Belinda who made us feel so welcome, thank you!!!!!

Sarah Attree

Our stay was very pleasant and our host Thomas was excellent! The chalet is ideally located at the foot of the slopes and very comfortable for a family of 10 people. How nice it was to come back from skiing and be awaited by an excellent snack. In short, everything is perfect!
