For less experienced skiers, the free resort shuttle bus stops just 130m from the chalet and will drop you off right at the main ski school and ski lifts.

Chalet Novelin is in a great location, 150m from the skiing and an easy 15 minute walk from the resort centre. For beginners and non-skiers, there is a bus stop just metres from the chalet door.
This is a quiet area of the village. The nearest bars, restaurants and shops will be found in the village centre.
Experienced skiers can be on the slopes straight after breakfast, ski-out is 150m away. For the less experienced, a 5 minute bus ride delivers you to the ski school and the Chavannes cable car. This delivers you straight to the beginner slopes. The bus stop is just 130m from the front door. The outward journey of Ligne B takes around 5 minutes.
If you're confident skiing blue slopes, take the flat but picturesque Bleuet slope all the way down to the car park by the lake and unclip your skis just 150m from the chalet. Alternatively, you can stop at the top of the Gentiane's final steep descent into the village centre and cut across to the top of the Vieux Chene drag lift. Keep going in this direction and unclip just 150m from the chalet door. For the less experienced, or for those who prefer to stop in the village centre for aprés ski, the resort shuttle bus is a handy alternative. The direct Ligne B route home takes about 15 minutes.
Local tourist tax for the 2024-2025 season is €2.30 per night per adult. An adult is anyone who is 18 years or older.
It is a requirement for all bookings that all guests have holiday insurance which includes cancellation cover. If you cancel your holiday for any reason (including force majeure) a cancellation charge will be due. You must let us know if you wish to cancel, even in scenarios that might seem obvious (e.g. if all borders are closed). If you do not let us know you wish to cancel then you'll be classed as a "no-show" and the full holiday price forfeited. You must let us know in writing that you wish to cancel, by email is fine.
×If you have booked a week-long holiday, chalet hosting and catering is included on 5 nights of your stay. The other 2 evenings are staff nights off and catering is not included as standard. If you would like to stay in the comfort of your chalet one night but don't wish to cook; we can organise a delicious 2 course evening menu for you, for one of the staff nights off. We offer our beloved Tartiflette served with a fresh side salad and a delicious 'dessert du jour' for €18.00 per portion. This can be enjoyed in the warmth of your chalet with all your included wine, beer and chalet drinks. The meals will be delivered to your host in the morning and they will talk you through the easy re-heating instructions after breakfast.If you would like us to organise this for you, please just let us know which night you would like the Tartiflette reserved for, we would recommend this for the first night off.

At no extra cost to you, we can organise your lift pass, equipment hire, ski lessons, airport transfers and childcare. This free concierge service is part of your holiday package with us.
On your arrival day, we will aim to have your chalet ready by 4pm and you should feel welcome to arrive at Chalet Novelin from that time onwards. On your departure day, the check-out time is 10am and the chalet must be vacated by that time. If you arrive in Les Gets before 4pm or wish to leave after 10am, we will be happy to provide space to store baggage however there will be no access to the chalet itself.
Arriving during these times will ensure that your accommodation is ready and waiting for you as soon as you're in resort — especially handy if you have children to look after. While getting into Les Gets in the morning and hitting the slopes straight away sounds great in theory, in practice the logistics can get a bit overwhelming. While we're happy to store your luggage, we can't always offer you a place to get 'ski-ready'. If your flight times are such that you can't avoid an early arrival, dropping your luggage with us and head out to soak up the atmosphere and get a bite to eat would be the more advisable option.
Again, while the thought of getting one last ski session in on your departure day sounds good, it can become a little tricky to pull off. Firstly, if the weather plays up, it will become a challenge to find alternative entertainment — especially with little ones. Secondly, as it's after checkout time, we can't offer anywhere for you to get changed back into your comfy clothes for your flight home.
If you've booked a late flight back, and if the weather isn't nice or you just don't want to ski, we highly recommend spending the day in Geneva. Why not take a stroll along the lakefront, you'll be amazed!

There are some great childcare options in Les Gets, with all ages catered for. Childcare company policies usually dictate that we can not arrange the booking on your behalf but we are always happy to offer information and advice. As part of our concierge service, we will be happy to organise your ski hire for you. The cost of ski hire is not included in your holiday package, but hiring your equipment through us won't cost you a penny more than going direct. So put your feet up and let us take care of everything for you.
For guests staying in Chalet Novelin, we usually recommend a local ski hire shop called Pure Experience. They're a great local company with well-maintained equipment and very knowledgeable staff.
Alternatively, our guests staying in Chalet Novelin can choose to hire from Delavay Sports ski rental shop. They're situated right by the main Chavannes ski lift, near the ski school.
All you need to do is let us know what you need. From there, we will take care of everything and make sure that your equipment is ready for you when you arrive in Les Gets. Once you have booked your flights, just let us know the details and we can arrange your airport transfers for you. The cost of the transfers is not included in your holiday package, but we will be very happy to make all the arrangements for you as part of our concierge service. You won't pay a penny more than if you go direct, so leave the legwork to us!
We provide a free concierge service for all of our guests. Let us organise your lift passes, ski hire, ski lessons, airport transfers and childcare. It costs no more than booking direct, only we do all the hard work for you. Here are some of the most popular services which we can help you with. If we make the booking on your behalf, you will pay the same price as if you were to go direct. In the case of childcare, the booking must be made by the parents but we are always happy to help with advice and recommendations.
Your catered holiday package with us includes evening meals on 5 nights of a week-long stay. On the other nights, when our chalet hosts are off, we will be happy to make a table reservation at a local restaurant of your choice. If you're not sure where is best, just let us know what kind of dining experience you most enjoy and we will be happy to recommend somewhere for you.

Booking your chalet holiday with us couldn't be easier. Simply use the booking form through the prices table, or just get in touch. From there, we'll look after everything for you. Here's a breakdown of everything that we can do for you between now and your first morning on the pistes.

Confirm your booking with a 25% deposit. Once you get written confirmation from us, you can safely arrange your travel and insurance without risk of your dates being booked by someone else.
The balance of your accommodation is due 60 days before your arrival date. This is also the time to secure your aiport transfers to Les Gets. Arranging your transfers is all part of our concierge service.
Ski and snowboarding lessons are able to be booked anytime from September, we strongly recommend letting us know if this is something you or a member of your group require when booking with us. Our concierge team will be sure to contact you about your options with enough time to secure your space with ESF Ski School.
Three weeks before your arrival to the resort we'll contact you to arrange your ski and snowboard equipment hire for when you are in resort.
10 days before your arrival we'll have a good idea of the snow conditions and therefore this is the best time to organise your lift passes to ensure you make the most of your time in Les Gets and the Portes du Soleil.
The week of your arrival we'll send you the information you'll need to meet your transfer driver, or the chalet address if you've chosen to drive to Les Gets.

These conditions apply to all holidays booked with SARL Montagne & Tradition, trading as "Chalets-LesGets.com" ("we" or "us"), and all people named or booked for by the party leader ("you"). "Our services" are those SARL Montagne & Tradition provide directly, such as food and accommodation. All other services provided by external suppliers, such as, but not limited to, childcare, snowsports instruction and other lessons, equipment hire and lift passes, are not classed as part of "our services". There is a section (section 5) for external suppliers. The rest of these booking terms and conditions apply exclusively to matters of our services only. "The holiday" is our package of food & accommodation only.
The contract is made on the date we issue confirmation of your booking (via email) from which point on you are said to have booked. No contract or obligation exists between us and you before this date. Your booking of a holiday with us confirms you understand and accept all terms and conditions laid down in our "Booking Terms and Conditions". We reserve the right to change our booking terms and conditions without notice. If you have already booked a holiday before any change you have the option to stay with the booking terms and conditions from your booking date. You will be notified in writing (email, fax or letter) of any proposed change and you must accept or refuse this within 28 days. If you make no contact then it is taken as you have accepted the new booking terms and conditions.
This contract does not apply to any services not classed as part of our services, such as, but not limited to, childcare, snowsports instruction and other lessons, equipment hire and lift passes, are not classed as part of "our services". We have no liability or obligation bearing from their providers, and offer no comment on the services they can provide.
After you have booked we will not apply any surcharges to you, even if the value of your home currency falls.
We reserve the right to change our prices either quoted or published at any time without notice. Although we update our website regularly, it will not always be up to the minute. Please contact us for up to date price and availability information.
A party leader making a booking takes responsibility for the whole party, including payment. The below applies to bookings of our services only.
The deposit is of 25% of the full holiday price.
We will issue confirmation of your booking when the full deposit has been received and cleared. Only from the date of this confirmation does any contract or obligation exist between us and you.
The Final Balance is due 60 days before departure. If this is not paid, then the holiday is deemed to have been cancelled and cancellation charges will apply. We reserve the right to re-sell the holiday without notice.
The deposit and final balance are both due on booking.
If you do not make the payments by their due dates or do not arrive in resort or at the airport (as applicable), your holiday will be cancelled without notice and the cancellation charges will apply. In such cases, we would make every effort to contact you and would only cancel without notice if we were unable to contact you.
We may make bookings on your behalf with third parties, for example ski schools, ski hire providers, the lift pass office, childcare providers, restaurants and transfer companies. All third party bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the provider. All contracts made are between you and the third party provider. We do not enter into any contract with third parties, and do not have obligation for any matter arising from a third party provider. We do not offer any comment on the standard of services they may provide. All disputes must be taken up with the provider directly, including requests for refunds, even if we have paid the supplier on your behalf.
If you cancel your holiday at less than 8 days' notice, you may still be liable for any third-party services which you have booked through us, including but not limited to airport transfers and snowsports lessons.
There are no alteration fees.
On a discretionary basis only, and where availability permits, it may be possible for you to change your dates of stay to any other week in the same season, change rooms booked and change names of party members prior to the date of payment of the final balance. If the holiday price goes up because of your requested changes, you will be required to make up the difference in price. If the price goes down because of your requested changes, a refund of the difference remains at our discretion.
You may only alter the names of persons travelling up to 14 days before departure. No monies will be refunded for a person taking the place who would upon normal booking pay less than the original person has paid (e.g. if a child takes the place of a full paying adult there will be no refund).
All other alterations not specifically mentioned above are considered a cancellation of the whole party who will then need to re-book. The charges for cancellation are outlined below.
