The Les Gets events calendar is chock full of events during the winter ski season. Starting in December with the amazing Enchanted Forest and going all the way through to the the famous Rock The Pistes music festival in March and of course the Grand Odyssey dog sled race in between. This local food market is a great way to sample the home grown Savoyard mountain delights such as cheese, cured meats, fruit and veg. You will also find flowers & plants, clothing and handmade gifts. It is held every Thursday morning in the centre of Les Gets at "Marais Parking" close to the Chamois d'Or Hotel.

This competition is the most famous stage race after the Tour de France and it is a real test for the riders. The Critérium will be held from May 30 to June 6 2021, with the final stage in Les Gets.
Starting from La Léchère-Les-Bains, the 145 km grand finale will serve up a succession of climbs ready for use as a launch pad for an epic adventure: the roads up the Col des Aravis, Col de la Colombière, Côte de Châtillon and, especially, Col de Joux Plane, are the perfect terrain to go on the offensive, as is the plunge to Morzine, where the top descenders in the peloton will come out to play. The ascent to Les Gets will wrap up this climbing-fest.
The Pass'Portes is a major MTB event taking place in the Portes du Soleil resorts spanning France and Switzerland. 80 km of traced routes with lots of pit-stops serving up local specialties. 9 resort starting points in Swtizerland and France: Avoriaz, Chatel, Les Gets, Montriond-Lindarets & Morzine on the French side and Champery, Les Crosets, Torgon and Morgins in Switzerland.
Pass'Portes Kids - a special course event for 9-14yrs supervised by trained instructors. Starting from Les Gets, Morzine or Châtel on Saturday and Sunday.

In short, the Trail des Gets consists of one vertical run (the highest number of climbs in 4 hours non-stop), three adult's races (11km, 21km, and 39km), and four children's races (6km, 3km, 1500m and 800m).

Abbaye Aulps Bees and Honey Festival is back! Whether you're an experienced bee-keeper, or an appreciator of honey, this is a day jam packed with activities, talks, games and stalls 100% dedicated to beekeeping, bees and honey.
Morzine transforms the town centre into a beach. Come on down for an assortment of beach games, inflatable obstacle courses, zumba classes and even some real sand!
The Trail des Hauts Forts is one of biggest trail races in the area and serves as a qualifying event for the revered UTMB in Chamonix. Competitors can take on either a 23km, 40km or 50km course, starting in Morzine and heading up the Vallée de la Manche, over the Hauts Forts and into Avoriaz.
Part of a series that takes place over the summer, here's your chance to see the true power of the 4x4. This popular event sees competitors from across the area bring their off-road vehicles to Les Gets and try to work their way around a series of short courses consisting of steeps, rocks, mud, and maybe even a stream.
This six-day-long festival is made up of lots of dance lessons by day, from classical ballroom to salsa to lindy hop, while in the evenings you can enjoy themed nights with incredible dance demos. There will be over 160 hours of lessons and over 40 professional instructors present.

A real mountain triathlon with a swimming event in Lake Montriond, a cyclo part with the legendary Avoriaz climb used by the Tour de France and a technical descent to Morzine. This is where the running event will take place on the banks of the Dranse… What a great sporting adventure!
UCI Mountain Bike World Championships DHI and XCO
Prepare for three days of souped-up rally cars round town, the screeching of tyres round tight mountain corners and the screaming of engines in the distance as some of the world's best drivers battle it out on Morzine and Avoriaz's mountain roads to be the ultimate rally champion.
For the second edition of Alambike, the 24-hour mountain bike event is when teams of 4 to 8 participants will need to clock up as many kilometres as possible in a relay round the iconic cross-country course from the MTB World Championships! For every kilometre, euros accumulate for two local charities. An event open to all types of bikes, from classic to electric: mixed teams allowed.

Every week on Monday evening at 17:00 the local ski schools put on the torch lit run. Descending the slopes closest to the village by torch light, performing tricks and synchronised skiing. It is a great show for the family every week. Oh, did we mention there is free mulled wine?

At the end of each year, the village bubbles with excitement thanks to Father Christmas and this special magic-filled Christmas event. Father Christmas feels at home here, but keeps to himself because he is so busy preparing all the Christmas gifts.
On the programme for this week, there will be guided visits into the enchanted world, as well as numerous activities and surprises for the whole family (elf workshops, shows for the general public, a visit from Father Christmas on 24 December, etc.). Find out more...

The ESF ski instructors of Les Gets, along with the men and women who work at the resort, are delighted to perform the Red Ski Show, an astonishing show devoted to winter sports in every form.
The programme includes an introduction to a range of winter sports, a presentation of the snow-groomers' work and a rescue demonstration offering insight into the little-known work of the ski patrollers. There's also a torchlight descent and a huge firework display to round off the week in style!
