Supermarkets in Les Gets

There are two supermarkets in Les Gets: Sherpa and Carrefour Montagne.

Sherpa Supermarket

A well-stocked, small supermarket located at the Perrières roundabout — across from the Chinfrey Hotel. A one-stop-shop for all your essentials, including; gas canisters, local hams and cheeses, and in winter — prepared Raclette and fondue ingredients. Owned and run by Pascal and his family, there's always service with a smile.

Open everyday during the ski season; 7am to 12:45pm and again from 3pm to 7:30pm

Sherpa Supermarket, Les Gets

Carrefour Montagne Supermarket

Carrefour Montagne is your standard, small supermarket. Grab a quick dinner, essential items for a fun evening or just loo rolls for the chalet! With a selection of British and French food items, there's something for everyone. Including sections for local cheeses and cured meats.

Open from 8am to 8pm everyday during the ski season.

Maison de la Presse (Newsagents / Bureau de Tabac)

For all your lottery, news, smoking, stationery, puzzles, toy and souvenir needs the newsagents has it all! Occasionally includes the sales of British newspapers such as the Daily Mail. The downstairs section of the shop includes a mini library of mostly French books, but also souvenirs such as mugs and t-shirts as well as hand crafted knives and local bowls and crockery. A good place to buy your singing birthday cards and mountain iphone covers.

Open every day from 7:30am to 7:30pm during the summer and winter seasons and busy periods. Closed Sunday afternoons during quieter periods and in the inter-season.

Boutiques in Les Gets

Les Gets has a small selection of boutique stores. You can spend a pleasant afternoon searching for the latest fashion trends, unique chocolates and even local, high quality cheeses.

Le Refuge de Marie-Louise

A local, regional cured meats and cheese shop. Browse through their selection of local wines, homegrown honey and their infamous digestif... an after-dinner tipple of Genepi. There's also a small shop on the main street of the village, squeezed in between the CIC bank and a hair salon. You are often welcomed with a smile and helpful advice about their products.

Open from 9:30am to 7:30pm.

Douceurs et Chocolats

A small, delightful chocolate shop selling handmade treats with an array of designs, colours, flavours and ingredients. Also offering non-chocolate items such as homemade fruit jellies, children's confectionary and local biscuit recipes. You can also fill your own bags to create a personalised mix of treats to take home or enjoy in your chalet.

Le Traineau

Run by the son of a local family and situated opposite the ice-rink. This shop takes care of all of your saucisson and cheese needs, including many local products to consume or take home as souvenirs. Also offering delivery of items for purchases greater than €30.00 to €100.00. You can also collect fresh, artisanal bread from the shop (from 9:30 am) or pick up a freshly prepared sandwich to keep you going during the day. You can find recipes for their products on their website, including fondues and tartiflette.

Open everyday from 9:30am to 12:30 pm and again from 3:30pm to 7pm.

La Fruitière des Perrières

This boutique is part of the restaurant and factory of the same name. Offering local products to take home with you and enjoy away from the mountains. The milk for these products is delivered every morning before the master cheesemaker prepares the various cheeses,  including the creamy Abondance cheese, flavourful Tomme de Savoie, yogurts, butter and cream. You can also find local jams, honey and wine. If you're going to be taking you treats home, as gifts or just for a later date, they will happily vacuum-pack items for you. You can also hire raclette and fondue machines here.

Open throughout the ski season, from 8:30am to 12:30pm and then 3pm to 7:30pm on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Saturday, they are open all day, from 8:30am to 7:30pm non-stop and Sunday from 9am to 12 noon, then 4pm to 7pm.

Ski Shops in Les Gets

There is a large selection of ski-shops in Les Gets. From local independent stores to international chains. Stocking everything you might need for your time skiing in Les Gets. The majority of these stores will have rent or buy options, and a few even deliver directly to your chalet door.

Delavay Sports

Hire top-of-the-range ski and snowboard equipment. Select from an enticing selection of clothes and accessories in their boutique. Including well-known sports brands such as Scott, Jones Snowboards, Nordica and Head. They also offer more fashionable ranges such as Falke, Oakley and Fusalp.

Berthet Sports

Situated just opposite the main slopes, next to the Credit Agricole bank, Berthet Sports includes a wide range of high-end materials available for rent or purchase. With a team of experts to equip you for your stay in Les Gets. Featuring brands such as Burton, Fischer, Rossignol and Dynastar. For those who maybe don’t fancy hitting the slopes, the two floors in the boutique are packed with fashionable offerings, from brands such as Black Diamond, Salomon and Volkl. The workshop also offers advanced boot fitting services and a spot to store skis overnight.

Désiré Sports

Situated just across the street from Delavay Sports. This small boutique offers ski equipment to hire and purchase. Slightly less fashionable, compared to some of the other boutiques in Les Gets, this shop offers practical sportswear and skiing/snowboarding apparel. With their rental area situated downstairs on the lower floor, the shopping takes place upstairs, including a small changing area. Brands include Bench, Salomon, Volkom and GoPro.

Perrières Ski Shop

Located near the Perrières lifts at the entrance/exit of the village, Perrières sports offers ski/sportswear and equipment to rent or buy. You can even test your skis and boots before you buy them!  Their brands include; Nitro Snowboards, Scott, Nordica and Volkl.

Open everyday from 8:30am to 6:30pm.

Intersport

Situated opposite the Chavannes chairlifts, Intersport is a franchise of sports shops dotted all over France. Offering sports equipment for every need. In this region, you’ll find mostly skiing and snowboarding equipment but they also cater to other winter activities such as snow-shoeing and sledging.

Skiset/Michaud Sports

Offers both rental and fashionable ski services, situated in the centre of the village — next to the Barbylone Bar. This shop has an upper floor dedicated to affordable and fashionable clothes and shoes. The downstairs area is accessible from the street on the left of the building, leading down to the ski rental and locker area.

Sport 2000/Contat Sports

Part of the Sport 2000 franchise found across France. Located below the Mont Chéry apartment building, this shop offers brand-label items and rental ski equipment. The workshop also offers boot fittings and a nursery for storing skis overnight. Brands include Billabong, Head, Salomon, Rossignol and Atomic.

Jordan's Sports

Located next to Berthet Sports, directly opposite the main piste and the L’AprèsSki bar. This shop offers both practical sportswear and rental equipment at affordable rates. They include boot fitting and ski testing as part of their workshop. You can buy jackets, helmets, gloves and boots from brands such as Rossignol, Tecnica, Head, Reusch and Eider.

There is also a smaller boutique, a sister shop of Jordan’s Sports — called Jordan’s Boutique. This is located in the centre of the village, opposite the Le Petit Four bakery shop. Offering only fashionable clothing items, for those who are less keen on skiing. This prêt à porter offers brands such as Odemai, Rinascimento, Arturo and Manas.

Nevada Sports

Run by 3 generations of the same family, this boutique and rental shop is located behind the pharmacy along the main street — in the centre of the village. One side of the shop offers an array of clothing and skiwear from brands such as Millet, Salomon, Degré 7 and Tecnica, and the other side houses everything ski and board. Offering affordable helmets, gloves, boots, skis and boards, as well as ski randonner equipment, snowshoe rackets and sledges available for hire.

Evasion Sports

Situated underground, below Le Boomerang restaurant and across the road from the bottom of the Mont Chery cable cars — Evasion offers both rental equipment and sportswear available to buy.

Vermont Sports

Situated in the old village opposite the old post office and the office of the Police Municipale. This shop offers rental, repairs and sales of ski/snowboard equipment. They also have a selection of clothes and shoes available for purchase which includes both high-end and reasonably priced brands. Brands include Degré 7, Eider, Icebreaker and Tecnica for sportswear and brands such as Bench, Rip Curl and Sorel for more fashionable items.
